NSW Dept of Education and Training Disability Programs - Central Zone Sydney Region
The Disability Programs Consultant works in partnership with parents and the learning support team to determine the most appropriate option to meet the child's learning needs, to identify the resources available to support your child's enrolment and to arrange access to services as required. Students with disabilities can be enrolled in regular classes with additional support, in a support class in a regular school or in a special school. An appraisal of the child's needs is firstly undertaken by the learning support team and coordinated by the school where enrolment is sought in a regular class.
