The DCPs major focus is on meeting the needs of vulnerable children and families. It is responsible for protection and caring for children and of supporting people at risk of crisis. It also wants to protect and promote the interests of children and young people in care and the Advocate for Children in Care has been especially created to give children a voice.The DCP services include -being an info and resource centre; an advisory council on preventing childhood morbidity;accommodation;advocate for children;adoption;awards;foster care;child protection;education and training;emergency services;financial help;info about your family; responsible parenting initiative.
