The Eastern Wheatbelt Primary Health (formerly known as Merredin Health) Service includes Merredin District Hospital, Eastern Wheatbelt Community Health, and Eastern Wheatbelt Mental Health. Merredin District Hospital provides :-n Accident and Emergency ; Acute Medical ; Aged Care Facility ; Allied Health ; HACC ; Obstetric ; Paediatric ; Palliative Care ; Pathology ; Surgical ; and X-Ray. There is a High Care facility at the Hospital (Moorditj Mia Nursing Home) that has 11x beds. Beeringa Frail Aged Lodge is the low care facility on this site and has x10 beds plus a respite bed. Jeanette Fegan is the HACC coordinator but Gail Keeney is the acting HACC Coordinator. The HACC services provided are assessment , centre-based day care , domestic assistance ,home maintenance , meals, nursing care(home), personal care , respite, social support and transport. There are 2x Doctors on site, (Dr Freeman and Dr Adeniyi).Anne Stone is the Aged Care Facility Manager.
