About Great Southern Population Health Unit

The Population Health Division aims to protect, promote and restore people's health. Responsible for the strategic policy and service direction which guides regional Community Health services. Community Health services provides a continuum of care with a focus on prevention and early intervention with the aim of maximising health outcomes for children, families and communities. The program "Stay on Your Feet" is promoted and coordinated by Population Health and is a falls prevention program for older people as well as children. There is also a drowning prevention programme. Includes Walk programs and other recreational programs which assist in maintaining a moderate level of physical activities. Also The Primary Health Care Branch is strategically addressing issues across the primary health sector with several strategies.This is also a child health clinic.
