Lifelink Samaritans has been listening to and caring for lonely, distressed and suicidal people in the community since 1968. nnTrained and life-experienced befrienders give callers time to reflect on their troubles and re-order their priorities, discussing personal options which their deep seated worries had not previously allowed them to see.nnThis vital and empathic service is provided freely, in confidence and without judgement or personal prejudice.nnCallers sometimes find family and friends are not able to cope and listen without imposing these on the discussion. and it can be safer and more empowering for YOU to speak with an independent listener at Lifelink Samaritans in your moments of confusion and great need.
