Ngunytju Tjitji Pirni is an incorporated Aboriginal Maternal and Infant Health Service . NTP strives to improve the state of health of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the Goldfields region by improving the health of mothers, making them better able to care for their families and by improving the health of the babies so they may expect longer, healthier lives.nServices provided at NTP :-nRegular visits by the health worker to Aboriginal women in their home during pregnancy checking :-nBlood Pressure nBlood Sugar nUrine Test nWeight nHaemoglobin Test nAfter the birth of the baby, the health worker will visit the mother and baby and check the baby's :-nWeight nGrowth nDevelopment nEars and Skin nGeneral Health nThe mother is also checked regularly by her health worker who also provides health education on women's health issues on a one to one basis and she will answer any questions the client or family may have.
