Hawkesbury Nepean Community Legal Service provides a free legal service for residents of the Hawkesbury, Nepean and Hills areas. Telephone advice service available Mon 1.30pm-4.00pm and Thurs 9.30am-12pm. Face-to-face appointments are available Wed evening 6pm-7pm. An outreach service operates by appointment at Riverstone neighbourhood centre on the 3rd Wednesday each month in the afternoon. The service also provides an Aboriginal Legal Access Scheme which helps to connect Aboriginal clients with legal service providers. The Centre also operates a Court Assistance Scheme (Hawkesbury Women's Domestic Violence Court Assistance) to supply support, referral and information for women applying for ADVO's.

Temporary Family Care supports families who need some help to stay together by providing parents and children with a break from each other. The program provides two types of care: planned weekend care which gives families a regular break (usually one weekend a month)and crisis care for emergency, short term situations. Children stay with local carers in their homes.

The ACCT is an 24 hour service. The Acute Community Care Team offers support in times of crisis as well as emergency mental health assessment in peoples homes and in the Emergency Department at St George Hospital. This service also provides short-term support for consumers after they leave hospital. The Canterbury Mens Shed is a place where skilled and unskilled men can share time with each other, swap yarns and work together on community projects. It is particularly aimed at men in the community who are 55 years +, to wards older men who are retired, for those who have downsized living arrangements and for those who feel isolated. It is also seen as a shed substitute for those men who had lost their backyard shed for a variety of reasons. The Shed offers a fully equipped workshop with hand, electric and bench-mounted tools, materials and interesting projects to do. It will also provide an activity were men can network, address mens health issues and participate in community activities raising self esteem. Shed participation enhances mental, physical and emotional well being of members.
