Merry Makers is a registered non-profit community based charity organisation. They provide weekly dances and get togethers every Thursday at The Entrance Primary School between 7.00 pm and 9.00 pm for 50 weeks of the year for intellectually and/or physically impaired adults. They stage a caberet activity for the months of March, June, September, and December and the remaining eight months take the form of outings. Volunteer bus drivers offer a pickup and deliver home service for their members if required. Each bus has a volunteer driver and volunteer hostess. Volunteers also assist on the dance floor, as "caller" and dance "helper". The service also will advocate on behalf of parents of a child with a disability if required.

The Community Visitors Scheme (CVS) is a national service which is aimed at residents of aged care facilities who are socially isolated or lonely. A Community Visitor (CV) is a volunteer who is matched with a resident and visits them regularly - usually fortnightly Volunteers are matched to residents with their backgounds, interests in mind. Activities undertaken between the CV and the resident will depend on the health and interests of the resident. Endeavours to support, educate and advocate for young gay and bisexual men under 26 by providing opportunities and access to relevant information, supportive social environments and appropriate referrals in an environment that is safe, supportive and fun. The project provides an avenue for young men under 26 to talk about safe sex, being gay, relationships, HIV prevention, the gay community and other issues. The project also strives to empower and enable young HIV positive men so they can best manage their own lives and continue to look toward the future.

Consumer Support Workers operate a part-time service providing information to people who are affected by mental health disorders on a range of topics including: advocacy services for consumers in the hospital and community, information about the rights and responsibilities of consumers, how consumers can raise any concerns about their treatment. This pilot project funded till the end of 2005 is for Carers in the Chinese and Greek communities. The project can offer CALD carers support groups, information sessions, workshops on the caring role, referral to services and support networks, emotional support and face to face or phone support. Kurranulla is a drop in community centre staffed by volunteers which provides support services to people with aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background. The centre provides information, referral and advocacy on matters such as housing, legal and any other issues affecting those in the local aboriginal community. The centre provides a venue for community networking and cultural and social events are often organised. Also within the centre there is a Gnarra HACC development worker who can link people to appropriate services. With Daycare groups on Monday and Thursday - transport provide.
