The Central Coast Domestic Violence Court Assistance Scheme (CCDVCAS) provides support to women using the court system to escape domestic violence. They will explain about ADVOs and stopping domestic violence, what will happen in court and referral to other organisations. Workers provide court support at Gosford, Woy Woy and Wyong local courts and support parents seeking ADVO's against their dependent children at Woy Woy and Wyong Children's Court. This services is part of the Law Society of NSW it provides referral to three private firms of solicitors to clients to choose from. The service has an extensive database of private solicitors, legal aid centres, female solicitors and specialist solicitors who deal with the aged and people with disablities. Provides names, addresses, phone numbers or email address to the client. Staff are able to search for solicitors who will provide first appointment at no charge and those that will do a home visit. The WDVCAS (Women's Domestic Violence Court Assistance Scheme) provides a number of services for women experiencing domestic violence. The aim of the scheme is to give each woman who is in a domestic violence situation and is seeking a restraining order (also called an AVO) at Redfern and Downing Centre local courts, access to a solicitor and the assistance of a support worker.
