Carer support services are available from 8.30am-5.00pm weekdays, including an urgent response 24 hours a day, by phoning Freecall 1800 059 059. This service provides emotional support to carers, assists them to make informed choices about their caring and support needs, and can arrange access to respite services tailored to meet their needs and the person they care for. The community information and referral service is available from 8.30am-5.00pm on weekdays by phoning Freecall 1800 052 222. This service is aimed at people living at home alone, general practitioners, service providers and students who require information about community aged care, disability and other support services.
