Extended Aged Care at Home (EACH) Packages are designed for people with high care needs and are over 70 years of age, or over the age of 50 for people of Aboriginal or Torres Straight Islander descent. Extended Aged Care at Home (EACH) Packages assist people in their own homes with the support of a comprehensive package of care. An EACH package of care is managed in consultation with the care recipient and their carer, or involved family members. Examples of the services available to the EACH client include personal care, nursing care, social support, domestic assistance, in home meal preparation, respite care, provision of supplies (eg. incontinence aids) and equipment (eg. hoist, hospital beds), physiotherapy and speech therapy reviews and care planning and case coordination.

Extended Aged Care At Home (EACH) packages are individually planned and coordinated packages of care, tailored to assist frail older Australians to remain living at home. They are funded by the Australian Government to provide for the complex high care needs of older people. People need to be assessed by the Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT), following a referral from the older person's GP.
