About Adult Migrant English Service (AMES)

NSW AMES provides a range of English language literacy and communication skills services for: newly arrived migrants and humanitarian entrants. skilled immigrants; community groups; rural or isolated clients;industries and enterprises. NSW AMES delivers the Adult Migrant English Program AMEP to newley distance learning; industries and enterprises. The Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) to newly arrived migrants and humanitarian entrants.The AMEP program is in partnership with TAFE Institutes, the University of NSW, community colleges, the Smith Family and Lady Gowrie Child Centre. The curriculm includes the nationally recognised Certificate in Spoken English (CSWE)Levels 1,2 and 3 asa well as specialist classes in pronunciation, reading and writing and citizenship preparation.
