About Albany Migrant Resource Centre(AMRC)

Providing settlement services to migrants and refugees in the Albany area. Objectives are to offer support to families and individuals, in particular socially isolated, new to the area and culturally and linguistically diverse groups. Also to provide practical assistance, informal counselling, programs, activities and linking to other community networks such as health and legal services. Interpreter services are available. Assessment and referal to appropriate agencies.nThe AMRC will assist clients who have arrived from another country within the last 5 years to settle into their new community. We will provide advocacy, information case work and referral services relating to domestic and social issues arising out of the settlement experience. The AMRC will deliver Information Sessions to assist newly arrived migrants and refugees so they become aware of services and resources that are available so as to understand their rights and responsibilities as new residents.
