About Allambee Place

Allambee Place provides secure affordable rental accommodation and assistance with care needs for frail older residents of the Central Coast, to enable them to live independently within the community. Applicants must meet the Community Tenancy Schemes criteria which is: Place on the Department of Housing's waiting list, Eligible for a Centrelink payment, Eligible for a Community Aged Care Package and unable to afford the private rental market. Applicants are then referred on to ADSSI. ACAT will assess the applicants' eligibility for Community Aged Care Packages. The Allocation Committee comprised of representatives of the above 3 organisations will determine the final eligibility for occupancy. Extensive consultation has taken place to ensure that the design of the villas and grounds meets the accommodation needs of the frail aged and are in close proximity to facilities such as hospital, shops, transport and community centre
