The Australian Neuromuscular Research Institute seeks to relieve human sickness, suffering and distress by the development and application of improved methods for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of neurological and neuromuscular disorders. The Clinical Research Unit provides services to patients with Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease, spinal muscular atrophy, inflammatory myopathies, refractory epilepsy and other neurological disorders who are referred by their general practitioners or specialists for diagnosis and treatment.
