Subsidised lawn mowing, HACC eligible clients are offered up to 20 mows per year. Vouchers are presented each time grass is mowed any difference in cost is paid to the sub contractor when the grass is mowed. Lawns are mowed monthly in winter, fornightly in summer, & 3 weekly in Autumn & Spring. This schedule uses 18 vouchers, the additional two (2) vouchers can be used for minor yard maintenance e.g. shrub trimming, bindi spraying, etc. The full extent of the mowing work offered is up to 1/4 acre block, paths and around the foundations of the homes are whipper snipped, grass clippings are put in bin/compost heap.
