About Bayside Initiatives Group Inc. (BIG)

The Bayside Initiatives Group Inc. (BIG) is for people 18 years and over with a past or present mental illness. The group initiates projects that promote mental health recovery and mental wellness, focusing on developing social networks within the organisation and community. BIG also provides direction to the development of services to mental health consumers. Various activities are held, including social groups, BBQ's, support & discussion groups, and lifeskills training. (Minimal fee for activities and groups). An information service operates during office hours to discuss current issues. Membership fee of $5 per year, which includes a bi-monthly newsletter.
