The hostel is a 40 bed facility for frail aged people.nEach resident has their own room with ensuite and share a common kitchen/ lounge room. Rooms can be furnished by resident.nMarried couples can be accommodated. The self care village is next to the hostel and has 34 units in total.nSelf-care units are 2 and 3 bedroom with garage; an emergency call system is installed in each unit.nMaintenance by the village tradesmen. Local doctors and allied health workers visit the centre. nTransport to external appointments is the residents responsibility, family involvement is encouraged.nThe complex is a short walk from town centre. nAll villlagers can access the community centre.nThere is no nursing home in the complex.
