Butterfly Place offers low-cost emergency accommodation for women and their children in need. Housing is provided in a four bedroom, fully furnished highset house (linen provided). Supervisor lives downstairs and communicates between committee and residence. Committee members are: Bernadette Wright (Treasurer), Maureen Strachan (President), Bridget McElwain (Secretary), Ingrid Hanson (Committee Member). Fee is $120 pr week (accommodation, local calls, electricity and yard maintenance). No direct support or counselling available. nHouse rules: No men allowed, and no alcohol or drugs allowed on premises. Non-compliance would result in eviction.
