About Casino and District Respite Care Service

Provision of host family respite in volunteer carers homes. Respite care provides a break to the family or full-time carers of children or adults who have an intellectual disability. Person can receive care either in their own home or the host family's. Can be overnight or a few days depending on needs and available resources. Recreational activities etc. Service also operates Ryan Cottage-self-contained accommodation for people with disabilities. Ryan Cottage is available to people from outside the region as well.
