About Centacare Community Visitors Scheme

Volunteers visit elderly people in residential care who are at risk of social isolation because of limited contact from family and friends, disability or linguistic or cultural reasons.nCurrently Centacare are involved in providing a visiting service to the following facilities:nSt Lukes Dapto, Woonona Nursing Home, Villa Maria, Unanderra,nTowradgi Park Village, Shoalhaven Nursing Home Bomaderry,nOsborne Nursing Home Nowra, Multicultural Village Port Kembla, Mayflower gerringong, Daintree Albion Park.nVolunteers share conversations, hobbies, interests and social activities.nVolunteers are always welcome, especially those with a second language. nInduction and one-one training given. Travel expenses reimbursed.nVolunteers do not assist with any medication.
