About Charingfield Hostel - Waverley

The hostel consists of 5 houses, each with a common lounge and dining room. The aim of the Abbeyfield Society is to provide a non institutional housing option to older people in a familiar environment and where they can have access to neighbours of all ages. The hostel provides low level care for 52 permanent frail aged residents. It has 3 respite rooms and 4 independent living units. All rooms have a balcony and en suite bathroom. A special care unit is available to cater for people with special needs and dementia. Services include a hairdressing salon, podiatry and organised activities.
