About Child and Family Health Team

A community based specialist, multidisciplinary health team for families where children are experiencing difficulties with development and/or behaviour, providing medical assessment and management, child counselling, family therapy, assessment by speech pathology and occupational therapy including brief intervention, psychological evaluation. Medical team works with DADHC for children eligible for their services, with community agencies, schools and preschools and with the Department of Education and Training providing integration support for children with physical problems. Staff work with the Special Education centre and the Stuart Centre. Provide some outreach services to Muswellbrook, Toronto and Awabakal Medical Centre.
