About Community Adult Occupational Therapy Service

The Community Occupational Therapist will assess an individual's performance in their everyday occupations and tasks, and focussing on developing and maintaining the individual skills necessary to carry out these activities. This includes home assessment to enhance safety and independence, adaption and design of specialised equipment, education on task simplifciation procedures e.g. joint protection for arthritis sufferers, lifting and manual handling techniques, and education programs for groups and organisation e.g. falls prevention. This is a Home and Community Care (HACC) funded program, all referrals will be prioritised and a waiting list exists.
