Provides assessment and referrals where necessary on all health issues; provides counselling for both family andnindividual; assist in establishing and running support groups; provides community education programs such as antenatal classes, stress management, provides home help and maintenance program by administering the home carenprogramme (HACC). Administers home medical aids scheme which provides equipment for people on low incomes such as wheelchairs, walking aids, orthotics, continence aids; assist in organising minor home modifications; referral to support groups.
