About Consumer Advocate Hunter New England Area Health Service

Support, advocacy and information (rights, legal issues etc) to people who have psychiatric disorders as well as those involved in working with/caring for them - anyone involved. Advocate for consumers in mental health. Talk to various community groups. Staff are all women and have lived the experience of having a mental illness. The service is available to consumers, families, carers and mental health workers. Also handle complaints from consumers and their family/carers/friends.
