About Dementia Care Team - Dementia Day Respite

Day Respite is offered at the above address 4 days/week on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday between 10am and 2pm. (Closed public holidays & staff holidays). The Dementia Care Team will offer respite to the client after an assessment has been made of the client's physical, social and mental abilities. The centre is staffed by a Registered Nurse and health service aide, each trained in dementia nursing care. It is facilitated in small groups with a safe, non-threatening family atmosphere. Limited transport to and from each centre is available within a given distance from the facility. This is arranged by the Centre Co-ordinator. There is also the Woy Woy Day Care, Grevilla Cottage, Kingsley Ave, Woy Woy on Monday and Friday.
