About Educare Support Service

Aims to improve the health and well being of carers and their families or friends who provide support to children or adults who have a disability, mental illness, chronic condition or who are frail aged. They aim to: Enhance coping skills of carers and families which will therefore reduce the stress of caring, provide a services that is easily accessible and free of charge, link carers with existing support network, within Hunter Health as well as non government agencies, offer paid respite which will decrease carers anxiety when they attend educational; sessions, Written material that can be utilised as a resource for skills and knowledge learnt during sessions.
