EMAS groups provide culturally specific Centre Based Day Care, which include activities, a culturally specific lunch and outings .This group offers an opportunity for friendship and socialisation to people who may be isolated due to a disability or language barrier or who live alone.nThere are many activities specific to each cultural group , from modified exercise suitable for any level , guest speakers , various board games to musical entertainment and celebration of festival days.nThere are several EMAS Groups inthe City of Melville :-n-The Asian Group which caters for Mandarin, Cantonese, Hokkein, Malaysian and Indonesian languages.n-The European Group caters for those of a predominantly Italian, Croatian and Maltese background.nVenue: Southern Districts Senior Citizens Centren-South Asian Group which caters to people from a South Asian background, in particular from India and Sri Lanka.
