Modification work to client's homes is the main priority of the service, however we do undertake some maintenance work when staff and time resources permit. Modification work includes ramps, rails, handshowers, grabrails, changes to bathrooms, wood frames to increase the height of chairs and beds, in fact any modification which promotes independence and increases quality of life for our clients. Maintenance work includes plumbing, electrical. The bulk of our work is referred by Occupational Therapists working in various health services and hospitals in the area. Fahmos have access to an Occupational Therapist for assessment if required (free service).nFAMHOS will supply and install 2 battery or 2 hard-wired (electric) smoke detectors (installed by a qualified electrician).
