About Family InSight Inc.

The program recruits and trains volunteers to provide support, information and social contact for parents/carers of young children. They aim to ensure that families are referred to appropriate agencies for support when necessary. The focus of the programs is to support those families that have limited or no local support networks with children under 5 years by providing friendship and practical support. All Family InSight volunteers offer their time on a voluntary basis and empathise from their parenting experience. Volunteers are linked to families on a one to one basis, whom they visit regularly, generally in the family's home. Volunteers are also recruited from the Aboriginal and CALD communities.nPrograms in Maitland, Cessnock, West Lake Macquarie, Raymond Terrace/Port Stephens, Upper Hunter/Singleton.
