About HACC Volunteer Training

The service provides training opportunities to volunteers in Home and Community Care (HACC) in the Nepean Region (Blue Mountains, Penrith, Hawkesbury and Blacktown LGA's). It offers: orientation sessions, seminars and workshops on a variety of relevant subjects (eg communication skills, understanding dementia, disability awareness, aspects of ageing, understanding clients from culturally diverse backgrounds, grief and loss); training programs on a regular basis (training calendar) open to volunteers of all HACC services and conducted in central locations; flexible training programs in response to identified needs of services.
