About Holdsworth Street Community Centre - Community Transport Service

The service has five community buses, three with wheelchair access, and three station wagons for individual transport.During the weekthe buses provide transport for the Centre programs and the EJ Ward Centre/Woollahra Seniors Clab in Paddington and Woollahra as well as the Stroke Recovery Club, which meets at Rose Bay RSL and cover all Eastern Suburbs Area. They are available to community groups for hire during times when they are not otherwise committed(More information on their website). Individual transport is provided five days a week primarily to assist clients to attend medical related appointments, with additional social access services provided on Saturdays for such as visiting friends, individual shopping, hairdressing etc.Those who require physical assistance must be accompanied by a carer.The Centre provides volunteer escort on clients' demand. However this type of service must be booked minimum of one week before of appointment.
