The CONSUMER OFFICE is operated by consumers for consumers. It provides: a venue for consumers to contact consumer representatives; information about mental health issues including books, magazines, pamphlets, tapes and videos; information on support groups, community activities and organisations; assistance with advocacy matters including grievances and complaints; information about the network and consumer activities; assistance with consumer empowerment. The CONSUMER FORUM is a group held at Pennant Hills Community Health Centre fortnightly on Fridays at 2pm. It functions as: a forum where feedback can be exchanged from committees and meetings consumers attend; a mechanism for consumer input into the mental health service; training group, where necessary, for consumers becoming involved in the mental health service and planning and ideas forum for consumer representatives.
