About Hunter Equipment Service

Hunter Equipment Service is a unit of the Hunter Area Health assisting the community by providing short term loan of equipment. The main storage base is at Wallsend, and there are equipment pools located throughout the Hunter. The types of equipment that can be borrowed are bath boards, bed blocks, chair raisers, shower chairs, shower stools, raised toilet seats, commodes, walking frames, care chairs, beds, Hi-Lite chairs and wheelchairs. The loan of equipment is for three months maximum. The service is able to advise clients regarding a long term or permanent equipment loan scheme, and veterans' clients equipment.
