Community based mental health service providing both an adult general psychiatry and acute psychiatric assessment service in Port Stephens, Dungog and the Lower & Upper Hunter valley. Services include assessment, short term counselling, crisis management and support, referral, mental health education, psycho-social group interventions and family support. Includes a 24 bed inpatient unit within the Maitland Hospital. Emergency out of hour phone 1800 655 085. Do not handle dementia. Do not do court reports. Copmi Nurse available for children with parents with a mental health disorder.
