About Hunters Hill Ryde Day Centre

Hunters Hill Respite is a social day centre offering care and activities for frail older people in the Ryde/Hunters Hill area. The service gives people who care for frail older people or adults with disabilities a rest or the opportunity to tend to other family responsibilities. The service also supports older people who are housebound or isolated to remain in their own homes for as long as they choose. The centre is staffed by a coordinator and a team of professional staff. It is also assisted by a group of volunteers who work directly with our clients and in administration. The service provides: transport, morning and afternoon tea, hot meals, outings (picnics, clubs, concerts), crafts & leisure activities, guest speakers and entertainers and companionship. Wednesday is reserved for clients with dementia and Monday is for clients from a Chinese background.
