Hyden Progress Committee have set up the Hyden Community Respite Service Committee and manage this service for whole of community. This is a NRCP funded project and provides much-needed respite care services and support for the Hyden community, with the employment of a respite care coordinator.The Hyden Community Respite Services provide in or out of home care available for elderly and disabled clients. Provides service to Pingaring, Kondinin, Hyden, Narembeen, Karlgarin, Varley, Mt Walker . Also on this site is :-n The Silver Chain Nursing Post and Medical Centre on the cnr Lynch and Naughton Streets, HydennPhone (08) 9880 5021nThe HACC services are provided from Kondinin/Kulin MPS and capacity is often stretched and Hyden Community Respite often provides the necesssary services to their elderly citizens. They can accommodate a party of 8 at the centre and provide o/night accommodation if needed.
