The In Home Dementia Respite Program is a social program providing respite for carers of people with Dementia with or without a challenging behaviour. It aims to provide opportunities for carers to take a break from the physical and emotional strain of caring, enabling greater participation in family and community activities, whilst providing meaningful stimulation to the client and maintaining community integration. Staff will come to your home or take the person you care for on an outing. nCarers of people with a diagnosis of Dementia and who are living in the Dubbo community can access this service. nThere are no costs involved for care, however outings will incur a cost depending on the destination and activity involved. Bookings are essential.
