About Interchange Illawarra - Flexible Respite

Respite support is negotiated through the Respite Support Agreement in consultation with the person with a disability and their families/carers and is flexible and tailored to meet individual needs. nA range of respite options is possible such as; in home, host family respite, private allocation to arrange own support, peer support programs. nWithin the host program, if applicable, a consumer is carefully linked with a volunteer carer who receives a reimbursement to cover out of pocket expenses. nInterchange also has a house that is available for self funded respite support and/or for families/carers to use. nStaff/volunteer support can be brokered through Interchange. nThere is a 24 hour message bank for after hours calls.
