About Interim Care Unit - Mt Olivet Hospital

The Interim Care Unit provides interim care for public patients (with high care needs) and veterans (low and high care needs - also a dementia secure unit for veterans awaiting placement in a residential care facility). Care consists of a multidisciplinary team. Must have a current Aged Care Assessment (ACAT), a medical referral and have an application with 5 residential care facilities. Mount Olivet assists and supports relatives in their caring for and living with a person with a terminal illness. Palliative Care Unit is available to patients of all ages who have a terminal illness and live within the greater Brisbane area.
