About JewishCare - Outreach Services

Provides low level community support to Frail Aged from a Jewish background living in their own home. Practical support provided includes: shopping, escort to Doctor's appointments and cemetery visits. Provides Community Aged Care Packages (CACPs). Has program for Holocaust Survivors providing shopping, cooking, appointments, correspondence, socialisation. Provides social work support - advocacy, case management, counselling. Runs the Burger Centre where Russian speaking people can attend 1 day/wk, special needs (dementia specific)people can attend 2 days/wk and frail aged can attend 2 days/wk. Note: if service cannot be provided JewishCare will refer clients to another support.
