The Family Care Centre provides a relaxed environment where families with young children can discuss their concerns with qualified staff. These concerns may include sleep and settling difficulties, feeding difficulties (breast and bottle), difficulty with parenting skills, effective management and limit setting for toddlers and pre-schoolers, parents feeling isloated and without support, difficulty with the transition to parenting, postnatal stress, anxiety and depression. Services provided include parenting information and support, individual and family counselling, small and big baby sleep and settle program (no referral required), postnatal depression support groups, women as mothers group (no referral required), referral to residential unit. Half or full day consultations are available by appointment. Home visits can also be organised.Satff include registered nurses with child and family health qualifications, lactation consultant, psychologist and social worker.
