About Kids Friends

Kids Friends matches a child and a volunteer 'friend' together with the aim of them spending 3-5 hours per week 'hanging out'. The aims of the program are: to provide a child with a reliable, trustworthy adult to have some fun with; to help a child develop confidence, personal skills and a more positive attitude to life; to develop the child's links within the community; to offer some respite and support to families experiencing stress. Family must be accessing other Barnardos programs for child to qualify.
