About Long Jetty - Extended Day Care - Northern Sydney Central Coast Health

Extended Day Care targets clients with high support needs in comparison to clients who attend Day Care. Northern Sydney Central Coast Health manage the centres and can arrange transport for clients to their local centre, the bus has a liftstep and each bus has host/hostess on board to assist clients with mobility. However, if the client has a wheelchair, client will need to organise their own transport to centre. The aim of the centres is to provide a social outlet for elderly people who because of their frailty or disability feel unable to participate in the usual social and leisure activities. The Manager, a Registered Nurse, makes regular visits to each centre offering advice and support.
