Physiotherapy is the assessment, treatment and prevention of problems associated with human movement. The Physiotherapy Department offers a specialised service to people who have suffered a stroke, brain injury, joint replacement, fractures, amputation, spinal cord damage, neurological problems (e.g. MS, Parkinson's Disease), back pain, arthritis or problems with mobility. Some methods of treatment may include exercise, manual therapy, hydrotherapy, functional retraining or prescription of walking aids.nServices include: Physiotherapy (outpatients and inpatient services), Amputee Clinic, visiting Prosthetist, Footwear Clinic, and Hydrotherapy.nA GP or Allied Health practitioner referral is required to access Physiotherapy services.
