Macquarie Hospital is a 195 bed mental health hospital, offering acute & non acute residentially based mental health services (14 beds in acute unit). Services for adults who have a mental illness/disorder who reside primarily in the Ryde/Hunters Hill catchment area, and non-acute recovery services (181 beds in 8 units) to patients referred from across the Northern Sydney Central Coast Health service area. Hospital acute and recovery services are supported by a diverse range of day programs providing social, educational, pre-vocational and activity programs for inpatients and outpatients.
