About Mangrove Mountain Adult Day Care Centre - NSCCH

Central Coast Health can arrange transport for clients to their local centre, bus has a liftstep and each bus has host/hostess on board to assist clients with mobility. Client needs to be independent, to be able to walk unaided (may take walking aid)and not require nursing care. The aim of the centres is to provide a social outlet for elderly people who because of their fraility or disability feel unable to participate in the usual social and leisure activities. Client will be assessed to ensure that the clients' needs are being met. Adult Day Care do not take clients with dementia. Each centre is run week to week by volunteers, under the auspice of Central Coast Health. The Manager, a Registered Nurse, makes regular visits to each centre offering advice and support. Red Cross Cosmetic Carers (listed separately) visit each Centre regularly
