About Member for Manly, Parliament of N.S.W.

A Member of the Legislative Assembly works locally for the individuals, organisations and businesses in the area that he or she represents. The Member receives and deals with many requests for assistance concerning matters such as: housing, transport, local councils, environmental issues and youth and community services. Some matters may be strictly outside the power of the State Government and they will be referred to people who may be able to help. During the day, in the evenings, and at weekends, the Member is expected to attend many meetings and functions relating to the community, schools, business organisations, charities and social or sporting clubs.
