About Muscular Dystrophy Association of NSW - Care for Carers

Care for Carers Program offers support to carers of people with muscular dystrophy and other neuromuscular disorders. This includes carers from rural and regional NSW, Sydney metro area and carers from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Support to carers is provided through: support networks; information sessions; written information on neuromuscular disorders; advocacy and referral; telephone group counselling; translation of materials where appropriate. n n2005; Initial meetings have been held in Illawarra/South Coast, Mid-North Coast, Central West and Mid-north coast and networks are being established in these areas.n2006; Networks will be established for carers in Sydney and those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, initially targetting Arabic, Mandarin and Vietnamese speaking people.
